Great Wood - Suffolk Historic County Top

Walk Summary
Walk start point, The Crown Inn, Hartest
After heady success of bagged peaks on visit to Lake District last week could not resist the challenge of tackling Suffolk's Historic County Top. Convinced Gina it was a good idea and finally set off at 12:20 after very nice cup of coffee and toilet break in pub.
Starting at Crown Inn - Hartest passing through Brockley Green & Rede. Heading for Chedburgh north along Kiln Road then turn left after Lodge Farm on old aerodrome perimeter road past Francis Wood to reach County Top near aerial at Great Wood.
After photos and light lunch could not find marked footpath south so returned home via footpath to west of Rede and back to Hartest via Hawkedon.
As expected was not enough daylight to get back so end up walking along road from Hawkdon past Gallowgate Farm, Lodge Farm, Somerton Hall, Townsend Farm and Brickhouse Farm.
Gina enjoyed walk but did not like walking in dark.
Solution - SET OFF EARLIER.
