Routes and Accommodation
A complete blitz of The Carneddau in a single trip, completed in seven walks instead of the 8 walks planned by merging Tal y Fan with Drum, Pen y Castell & Carnedd y Ddelw. Mainly due to the brilliant weather enjoyed for the end of November and early December I only needed 2 of the planned rest days.
So what would you do?
Come home early?
No I didn't either I went up Tryfan for the walk (and scramble) of my life, getting in an extra 4 Nuttalls by walking The Bochlwyd Horseshoe.
A total of 62.00 miles walked with 6148m of ascent walked over 7 days (+2 much needed rest days) to visit all of the 23 Nuttalls and the 7 Deweys in the Carneddau.
Above picture not even taken during one of the walks in The Carneddau. Just had to stop the van and get out to photograph the above scene taken on way to Pen Llithrig y Wrach walk start. Beautiful view that you would not see or seek out unless you had a reason to be there.
That reason for me is to go on a walk up a specific hill.
