Since completing my challenge to climb every mountain in England back in April 2013 on Catstye Cam I continued with the Welsh equivalent on Chwaral y Fan three months later in July 2013. (A mountain in England and Wales is defined as any 2000ft summit, with prominence of 15m more commonly referred to as Nuttalls after John and Ann Nuttall who defined them.)
Only difference now is that scope has extended to Munros so please have a look on my Scottish hill bagging blog for a similar list of the ever expanding list of hill types in Scotland.
On the subject of expanding hill type lists because of the travelling distances involved to Wales and Scotland I have now started focusing on Marilyns and HuMPs in England and even persuaded Gina to visit all the Historic County Tops of England and Wales. For the sake of completeness I am tracking Deweys as well and as you may guess there is a similar list available to this one for each of the above mentioned hill types.
Here is the alphabetic list of all 13 WelshHistoric County Tops including my most recent date of ascent. The list will be considered complete when all 13 have been visited by Gina as well as myself indicated by "G&S" before the grid reference. I have already visited 4 against 0 with Gina so I will be having a repeat visit for Gina to complete her list. Similar list for the 49 English Historic County Tops can be found here.
The 4 I have already visited was part of my main hill-bagging focus to complete all 444 English and Welsh Nuttals before my 60 birthday in November 2016.
CLICK ON GRID REFERENCE to be taken to photograph of summit area taken on day of visit.
CLICK ON HILL NAME to be given full details of each top including OS 1:50,000 map of location, height, grid references and other details.
CLICK ON DATE OF ASCENT to go to route statistics and map of route taken to visit each top.
Information taken from 'My Account' on www.hill-bagging.co.uk where I log all hills I have visited/climbed since starting
